EPDM

EPDM is a synthetic rubber material specially prepared for ventilation applications. The compound formulation and mold technique is critical for the membrane to maintain its physical properties for long periods of time in a minimum load pool, resist tears, maintain its shape even after years of continuous or cyclic use, and produce fine bubbles. Our EPDM membranes have been tested and have shown excellent results in urban and industrial applications. Standard EPDM is not recommended in high concentrations of solvents, fats and oils, grease or other contaminants. Membranes have been tested and have shown excellent results in urban and industrial applications.

PTFE

PTFE-coated EPDM membrane, developed in 2004 and later patented, is now a proven technology. SSI pioneered and patented the use of thin film layered fluorinated elastomers that permanently fuse onto the surface of an EPDM or other substrate-based material. In industry, this product is a "must-have", and is used in pulp and paper, dairy, refinery, carbonated beverages and It has become the industry standard in applications related to landfill leaks. It is used in the municipalities of major cities worldwide, due to the projected life cycle, cost benefits and reduced maintenance needs.

EPDM ™

fEPDM ™ membranes were developed in 2007 as a response to the very rare situations where solvents are present and pose a risk to PTFE-coated membranes. In practice, they show a remarkable degree of chemical resistance similar to Viton®. A significant additional benefit of fEPDM ™ membranes is that the entire outer surface area of the membrane is preserved. This proprietary process also processes and protects internal cracks!

Viton ®
This material has been successfully used by SSI in a few applications where budget is not constrained. The membrane works very well and is resistant to most contaminants and chemicals. Viton® costs about 10 times the cost of EPDM membranes.

Curtain Polyurethane

SSI's webbed polyurethane membrane, developed in 2009 and patented in 2010, provides outstanding chemical resistance and excellent creep resistance. With standard or micro holes to produce fine or ultra fine bubble, this membrane material is suitable for urban services or industrial services.

Silicon

SSI produces silicone discs and tubes as well as polyurethane tubes. However, we prefer the characteristics of membranes with a more fluorine elastomer layer. Because, it is possible for both silicon and stored urethane to rupture over time due to stretching problems. This is a phenomenon that does not significantly adversely affect EPDM membranes. Both polyurethane and silicone are not suitable for cyclic processes and do not create a cost benefit on EPDM membranes with fluorinated elastomer layers.
