It is a multiphase fluid (liquid + gas) pump that is a combination of a standard centrifugal pump and a liquid ring pump, both mounted on 1 motor and 1 shaft.

When a gas bubble begins to form at the centrifugal impeller inlet, the liquid is discharged by the ring impeller.

The pump has 1 suction and 2 outlets: the main outlet of the centrifugal pump, the smaller discharge of the liquid ring pump that acts as the air and foam discharge.
The air / foam vent is typically connected back to the suction cup.

Features & Benefits

Electro-polished stainless steel AISI316 and better: high corrosion resistance

High pump efficiency resulting in lower energy consumption

Low NPSH values: less risk of cavitation

Monoblock structure: less floor space, easy installation and maintenance (no alignment)

Self-adjusting vacuum
  • The GFP multiphase pump is typically used in the food industry for foamy liquids and gaseous (viscous) liquids.
  • It offers solutions to liquids that are difficult to pump with standard centrifugal pumps. For example. starch slurries, proteins,…
